Counselling

There may be times in your life when you feel there is no solution to the problem you are facing. However this is not the experience of the Counsellors at Equilibrium who have helped many people find answers and effective ways of coping with their difficulties.

You may be suffering from panic attacks or other alarming symptoms caused by stress.
You may lack confidence, feel anxious and generally unable to cope.
Work may be getting on top of you.
You may have difficulties, either emotional or sexual in relating to other people.
You may worry about your health for example, relying on alcohol, smoking to much, using drugs.
You my be struggling with a negative body image or problems with your eating.
You may feel devastated by the death of a relative or friend.
You may not have a problem at all but you may want to have Counselling/Psychotherapy to find out more about yourself and perhaps achieve personal growth.
You and your partner are just not getting on.

Talking therapies can help you with issues such as Depression, Anxiety, Addiction, Bereavement, Child Abuse, Eating disorders, Post traumatic stress disorders and Relationship Problems.

The types of therapy offered at Equilibrium included: Counselling, Cognitive behavioral therapy, Psychotherapy, Psychodynamic therapy, Hypnotherapy, Coaching, Couples counselling, and Trauma therapy (EMDR).

Our Standards:
Counselling, Psychotherapy, Hypnotherapy at Equilibrium are provided with strict confidentiality. Our Psychotherapists/Counsellors have all completed extensive postgraduate training in Counselling, Psychotherapy or Psychology. In addition, they will receive clinical supervision and have been in personal therapy themselves. They are committed to comply with the ethical cod

es of conduct of the various recognising bodies that they are registered with, such s British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP); the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP); the British Psychological Society (BPS); and the Helth & Care Professions Council (HCPC).

We have Male and Female Counsellors, and Counsellors from a variety of cultures and creeds (Go to Team).
