My name is Megan Dawson; I am a qualified Counsellor with a BSc., (Hons.) Degree in Psychology and an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Humanistic Counselling. I am a member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP).
My commitment is to provide counselling in a safe and confidential environment where you will be heard, but not judged nor told what to do. You can use counselling to help you think more clearly, make decisions or changes in your life or come to terms with difficult past or present experiences. You cannot always change your circumstances, but you may find easier ways of dealing with it.
I work with adults and young people on issues such as, problems with family/friends, anxiety/depression, isolation/loneliness, problems at school/home/work, anger, death/loss of someone close, sexual abuse, addictions – drugs/alcohol, low self-esteem/confidence.
I am also an experienced Group Facilitator, and run workshops on issues for young people and for parents/professionals who work with them.
