COVID-19 UPDATES

Open to see clients for Counselling, Physiotherapy and Osteopathy ONLINE and face to face, if deemed necessary.

 Our preparation for the gradual opening in the COVID-19 situation:

According to the guidelines by Public Health England and the regulatory bodies for Counselling, Physiotherapy and Osteopathy, it is now possible to see some Clients Face to Face after a thorough risk assessment and clinical reasoning process. As we are aiming to open up in stages not all therapist will be able to offer Online and face to face treatments. We will therefore follow the Virtual First approach. 

From 1st June we will be seeing those clients, who require necessary treatments, which cannot be provided through remote/online consultations. 

How we have prepared the premises and how your visit at the clinic will look like, will be explained below. We hope, that you understand that the steps and measures were taken after a thorough risk assessment for the safety of our patients and therapists.

For Psychotherapy, Counselling and Hypnotherapy session:

  • Once you have booked you appointment with us the therapist will be in touch for a brief telephone consultation to assess your clinical needs and a pre-screening for risks factors. According to the assessment you will either be offered a remote consultation or a face-to-face appointment. For Online/Remote counselling you will discuss the most appropriate way of communication for the session, this includes telephone, skype, Zoom or Face time sessions. Please make sure to be ready for your online session at the appointment time. Should you require face to face session, then please see below:
  • You will be explained the risk of attending a face to face appointments. Consent must be given in order to proceed with the appointment.
  • Before you make your way to the appointment, please make sure:
    • That you have paid through bank transfer or online, as we are unable to accept cash in order to reduce contact contamination.
    • That you or anybody in your household have no Covid-19 symptoms and your temperature is not 37.8° C and above.
    • Do not come in, if you have a new continuous cough for the last 7 days, shortness of breath, headache, extreme fatigue or a lack of taste/smell
    • Wear a face mask on arrival
  • When you arrive at the clinic, please proceed as follows:
    • Please make sure to be at the clinic at your time in order to adhere to social distancing regulations. At the entrance, in the waiting room, you will find hand sanitizer on the right hand side of the wall. Please make sure to use the disinfectant before sitting down in the waiting area. 
    • Your therapist will aim to greet you at the reception entrance or will pick you up from the waiting area.
    • You will be guided into the treatment room.
    • Upon finishing the treatment, please make sure to dispose of any protective wear in the appropriate bin in the room.
    • Please note, that the toilets facility will be out of service for the first part of the opening for infection control and transmission reasons.
  • Our aim will be to offer remote session where applicable according to the guidelines given by NHS England, so any follow up appointments will be discussed with your therapist directly and should there be need of face to face sessions then these will be offered accordingly.

Our Risk assessment and infection control measures to ensure a safe environment for our clients and therapists:

We continue to monitor closely any changes to the guidelines for COVID-19 safety procedures and have implemented the following in our clinic.

  • Reduced therapy appointments to ensure effective social distancing and pre screening of clients for Covid-19 symptoms
  • Automatic Hand sanitizers at the entrance and rooms, as well as disinfectant wipes available to use between clients and on contact points
  • Enhanced cleaning and hygiene routine for the premises, as well as individual rooms between client contact. All chairs on the premises have been replaced with wipeable ones to ensure effective infection control.
  • Social distancing measures in the consultation rooms and waiting room
  • All therapists adhere to Gov guidelines, as well as regulatory bodies for PPE instructions, therefore masks, gloves, apron and visor are worn with clients with physical contact and for counselling sessions therapist will adhere to Public Health guidelines.
  • Hands-free water tap installed in the room and toilet to reduce contact points and transmission.

For Physiotherapy and Osteopathy sessions:

Our staff, as well as the therapist will follow all guidelines provided by Public health England and will adhere to the measures we have implement to ensure the safety of clients. We have taken all necessary measures to reduce the risk of contamination and transmission, which involves reduced hours, gaps in the session slots, removal of contact points in the rooms and on the premises, as well as adhering to PPE guidelines for the therapists.
