I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor working with Individuals and Couples. I also have broad experience of working with teenagers and young people. My approach is Humanistic, which emphasizes the personal worth of the individual and helps with motivation towards better functioning and overcoming difficulties.
I also use CBT when appropriate to identify and challenge negative thought patterns and behaviour, and thus learn a healthier way of being.
I have experience working with a diverse client background both short and long term, and with a wide range of issues eg. relationship, low self esteem, bereavement, addiction, depression, anxiety and stress, sexuality and identity problems, pressures of work, feelings of isolation and dissatisfaction with life. I aim to work with clients providing an environment of trust and respect for their uniqueness, so that they feel empowered, more “radiant” and able to move towards growth, wholeness and a healthier way of living.
I am also a supervisor of both trainee and qualified counsellors.
